How to set up Page Protection with the 2-Factor Authentication plugin for WordPress?

Pre-requisites : Download And Installation

• You need to configure the 2FA plugin before following this guide.

Getting started with the setup

Let’s see how an administrator can set up Page Protection for users.

Follow these Steps to set up Page Protection

• Go to the 2FA Configurations tab in the miniOrange 2-Factor Authentication plugin, and then click on the Quick Setup subtab.

• Go to the Enable 2FA On Specific Pages settings.
• Select the checkbox to enable the 2FA on Specific Pages option.
• Select the checkbox before the page where you want to enable 2FA. (I have selected all the pages.)

• Enter the number of hours to specify the time interval after which the user will be required to re-authenticate.
• Then, click on the Save Settings button.

• Log in to the site and try accessing any of the selected pages. (Here, we’ll access the My Account page.)

• When you hit the URL of the page, you will be asked to configure 2FA. ( I have already configured the OTP Over Email method. )
• A pop-up will appear asking you to enter the 2FA code.
• Enter the 2FA code / OTP sent to your email ID registered with your WordPress site.
• Click on the Validate button.

• Now, you can access the page for the time you have set. Once the time limit is over, users will be required to re-authenticate.
